This is arguably one of Natalie's best tunes, I always had conflicting emotions when I heard this, the groove is infectiously good, an funky, but the lyrics always touched me. I've seen so many Annie Mae's in my lifetime, and I always wished that I could turn around each one, impossible, I know, but I wished for that, God only knows what became of them, classic 70's R&B, from a fantastic singer, no question...
