Lana Lang is such a strong, intelligent, and albeit, flawed character from 'Smallville', that is one of Chris' favourites from the show, probably THE favourite. I think this song really suits her, depending on which way you look at the lyrics. I really like the line "They're gonna eat me alive" because I think it represents a part of Lana -- she's always been in the media, and always been in the spotlight in so many different scenerios. At first she was the little cheerleading princess stereotype -- thats how she was viewed, but not who she was. She was in the media when her parents died, and splashed across the front page of a TIME magazine, and when she was in a relationship with Lex, she was the splashed all over the papers too. So that line really made me think of centering this song on her.

I blended two different versions of the song together, which explains the bad song edit, but you know, trial and error. I wanted to end on what I believe to be the "death" of Lana Lang, as we knew her. I think, although she was still Lana Lang, when she came back she was a changed - for the better - character. Stronger. Wiser. And thats because she went out and trained her body, mind, and soul to change her attitude towards everything, and really take on these powers to save people. She no longer was 'the victim.' Honestly, Lana had one of the best transitional storylines on the series -- while she took a lot of hate, probably because of the relationships she was in, I think her story was one of the best. It all came full circle too, in a sad, tragic way, but you could tell in her departure she was moving onto bigger and better things.

Chris, I know how much you love her, so I hope you like this. XD

Yeah when the acoustics change to the real version at the chorus and the kick ass scenes start to appear, I get chills yet I feel hypnotized and feel her empowerment. Such an indescribable feeling! <3

Lana's plots, and overall character, was soo tragic. You can't help but love her. And I DO. ALL THE WAY! And I'm sooo amazed by this video! Not only did you pull off a PERFECT Lana study, showing how she's changed, and grown, but you edited it with such brilliance, grace and boy... this wouldn't be a Chris comment if I didn't say "EPIC" at least once, every five lines :P hahaha!!

That's the stuff I love about her arc in s8. I don't just go with the Clana stuff cuz to me Lana proves she's about much more than a man. At the end of the day she was a hero in her own right. OMG Allison directed some cool shit! lol I love when she bursts in all powerful with yellow & red flying. lol she looks like a phoenix raised from the ashes! OMG the scene of her spying on Lex for that line? SO perfect! She's fighting to stay hard, but her heart isn't in it.
