Vandex is a premium cementitious tanking system. However, all systems rely on good surface adhesion. Here, Brick-Tie Preservation technician Craig Tarbotton is jet washing a fibre re-enforced slab, prior to applying Vandex BB75E. The elastomeric material will waterproof this structural deck, over our client''s garage and games room. Flexibility is necessary because the terrace over the basement will inevitably flex and could crack a rigid waterproofing system. The deck is further sealed around the edges using Vandex Flex-Tape, which is heat welded and then bonded down to the tanked surface using Vandex Uniflex NV adhesive.

The system will also include the Oldroyd green roof membrane, below the client's paved terrace.
