This is the third year of Long Beach City College's underwater robotics team to compete in the international MATE competition. This 2006 competition was held in Houston TX at NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Lab. This video shows just a fraction of the student's hard work put into building this ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle), testing, and actual video shot during the competition from the perspective of the ROV.

No, this is a Student. I didn't hear about a competition today, but i haven't been involved with the ROV this year.

What type of tether did you have?

The tether was made on campus. It took a lot of snot and some tug-of-war! Once put together, we attached a valve for pressurizing the air in the tether to neutralize bouncy in any condition.

Now i work on small ROV with 17 channels in one cable (coder)
Its realy difficult work. I make it all personally - not make a ROV from ready electronic kits... :P
This movie with ROV is realy good. I have a question. What sountrack/autor music is used in this movie from 6:24? Its realy cool!
