Zeppelin, Purple, Lizzy, Sabbath, Foghat, Stones, Who, ELO, Rainbow, Kinks, Blondie, The Sweet, Uriah Heep...I could name 87 other bands literally off the top of my head from the 70s (giving me a grand total of 100 bands) that are ALL better than ANY artist from today's shitlist !

@tonysdzepp i mostly agree with your statement. there has been very little worthwhile music over the past 10 years. average bands from the 70's would be huge today, assuming they would get exposure. The only 2 bands over the last 10 years coming close to greatness are the Black Keys and the White Stripes. I'd put the Black Keys up against anyone in the history of rock outside of Zeppelin. There are a few other good acts out there but it takes tremendous work to find them.

@tonysdzepp Foo fighters, blink182, a day to remember, disturbed, shinedown, avenged sevenfold, bullet for my valentine, kings of leon, nickelback, skillet, simple plan, 3 doors down, theory of a deadman and i could name 87 other bands that are amazing from todays music. I like old rock as well but don't discredit todays artists just because your stuck in the 70's
