Pepper spray is an inflammatory agent which is used to inflame the eyes and cause breathing difficulties, which in turn can cause a person who is attacking you to be put into a position where they are unable to cause any damage to you or your property. When a person is sprayed their eyes will literally clamp shut meaning they cannot see at all. If the person is standing, they will immediately be brought to their knees in a coughing fit and will be left with the ability to breath only small amounts of air, enough so that it is uncomfortable, but not restricted so much that it is life threatening.

Although the effects of pepper spray depend on the strength of the spray, you can generally expect to disable your attacker for around 30 minutes, which should give you an adequate amount of time to contact the police and allow them to take things from there.

  • @jkjed1 Not true. Pepper spray is legal in New York City unless you are using it in commission of a crime or you are a convicted felon. You are supposed to buy it from a licensed firearm dealer or other licensed dealer who is meant to perform a background check before selling it to you. It is unlawful to have pepper spray or mace SHIPPED to New York State unless it is ANIMAL pepper spray intended only for use on bears.

  • Oh my - I could even watch this video along with the really, really gay & crappy midi version soundtrack of Men At Work's "Down Under." Now every time i hear this song I'll thing of two Scottish-Australian dudes performing Sixty-Nine...

  • @jkjed1 @jkjed1 No, that doesn't mean it's illegal. It's legal UNLESS you've been convicted of a felony. It means the state wants to be sure the person buying it to isn't a violent criminal who is going to misuse it. Duh?

  • I dated a stripper a few times who had a felony conviction and could not own a gun, I gave her a can of the spray figuring it would be legal for her, it is unconscionable that NY state would discriminate that heavily on the basis of past convictions when 'felon" is such a broad term. She had some DUIs and did her time, not be perpetually punished with government mandated vulnerability to rape and robbery.

  • hahahaha LOOOOL man that music track is so gay

  • My mom and I came across a convicted convict who was very large a convicted violent sex offender and spent eiight years in prison. he had been stalking my mom. I had military strength pepper mace. I sprayed him for a continued amount of probably 4 or five seconds, I guess he was whining about not being able to breathe, It worked very well and was very painfully effective. had I a gun i probably would have blown his head off.

  • best fucking video on youtube

  • @USPS4185 I just reply so that you think about gay things again! :DDD

  • @jkjed1 Tha law is just retarded... omg...

  • Pepper-sprays with colored- dye in them will not only put a hurting on someone, but will make someone look very-stupid too--since the dye does not just wash off...A very good way to "mark a creep" if necessary! Also, sadly, you cannot purchase or carry ANY pepper-spray in New York City, USA...Be aware of rules and S*** like that...
