Also...alot of those freedman looked just as native as the cherokee did...alot of these freedman was just listed as freedman if their skin was darker than others...

The freedman is who choped the trees down, built the houses, grew the food, cooked, washed the food....plowed the land...and when the cherokee walked the trail of tears...they made the freedman carry all their stuff...then they eventually free them and say..ok we will sign this treaty saying you fredman will be given all the rights we have.....and now today they want to say.....nah we change our mind..and spit in the freedman's face...

@nativewaterdown the treaty of 1866 states clearly....freedman are to be given every rights and asistance as any other cherokee....the freedman was those cherokee's slaves....those freedman walked that same trail of tears!!!! The world turns deaf ears on the federal cherokees from now own!!! These cherokee have attacked the lumbee..and have attacked every native person of kentucky as well...these federal cherokee are the voice of the native people of america NO MORE!!!!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. What ignorant people don't understand is that Tribal Freedmen are not claiming to be Indian, though many of them are...Those without Indian blood proudly claim their heritage as Freedmen of the Nations from which the were born, lived, and died...It is the ignorant that continue to lie on these people in order to make it seem as though they're taking what doesn't belong to them...The truth will always prevail, and the naysayers cannot erase this reality.
