@CraZayTube most muscadine vines found in the wild are male,about 85 percent and wild varieties are normally not as good as selected cultivators,or need a pollinator. buy a vine from a nursery they are normally cheep. most people would be much better off doing this. but trust me i am ALWAYS looking in the woods for a wild vine that bears huge loads of large fruit...but the best time to dig up a vine is in the late winter early spring before the new buds push out

Know of any good websites for muscadine recipes?
hey can you tell me when the harvest time is for these??? i know where some wild ones are at but they dont have any fruit on them yet and i want to make sure the one i dig up bears fruit.

Depending on where you are, you may start seeing ripe ones in late August. On average, mid-September is what you're looking for.

alright i live in pensacola florida. ive written about 10 people and you all have said the same time..the fall basically, but do you recommend anytime to dig them up...can i did them up with the fruit on them?? im kind of short on time lol...i recently swore into the navy
