Collateral Murder - Wikileaks - Iraq

Wikileaks has obtained and decrypted this previously unreleased video footage from a US Apache helicopter in 2007. It shows Reuters journalist Namir Noor-Eldeen, driver Saeed Chmagh, and several others as the Apache shoots and kills them in a public square in Eastern Baghdad. They are apparently assumed to be insurgents. After the initial shooting, an unarmed group of adults and children in a minivan arrives on the scene and attempts to transport the wounded. They are fired upon as well. The official statement on this incident initially listed all adults as insurgents and claimed the US military did not know how the deaths ocurred. Wikileaks released this video with transcripts and a package of supporting documents on April 5th 2010 on http://collateralmurder.com

He didn't run from his obligations. As you can see, he served in the military. But does that mean that he must agree with everything? Can't he have it's own opinion? I can see that you don't.

They tried all that bully shit on me in training, then get the squad to beat on you, anything to break you down to surrender to their mentality! I never gave up! Told them what I thought when asked, otherwise, just kept my mouth shut. Did my work, joined off station protests. Kept political messages in my locker. They hated it when they had inspections! Couldn't do anything about it!

It was a tough few years, but I got through it! Made problems for them when I could!

I do not see any U.S. sacrifice in this video. I fail to see the honor in killing innocent people. I do not understand how blind devotion is patriotism. Furthermore, I do not see how insulting me aids an already porous argument on your part. Do I know you? Did I speak to you? Why are you insulting me? Very well said. The US army is more like the wall street mercenaries, than the protecters and fighters of your country. They are used to do all the mess made abroad (like in this video). Fortunately, you have taken notice of your real role on the war. But most military personel are like the cold-blooded sadists who bomb civilians examplified here.

The army doenst want people like you, who can make their judgements. They want easily controled puppets, so that they can do their mess.

Yes, the military does follow the rules of engagement. It would be impossible for me to explain to you the concepts of patriotism, honor and sacrifice, those ideals are for much higher caliber men and women than you.
