Ummm, well, actually I was more referring to the fact that the historical EVOLUTION of males and females includes differences in emotional constitution as well as physical constitution. FYI, though, the social stigma attached to 'stay at home dads' is a historical observation in itself, btw. Why do you think that our culture was like this in the past? Do you honestly believe it was purely based on 'narrow-mindedness' or something like that? USE YOUR HEAD HERE!
-
What "historical observation" are you talking about? Until recently the social stigma of husbands stayin home with the kids has been taboo. There is no historical observations. You are full of shit. I think you are too scared of kids. You obviously have none, or your perception wouldn't be so skewed. I am no less strong physically, or mentally, and I hug my kids constantly. Now come spout that bullshit to my face so I can rearrange yours. I AM A STAY HOME DAD! I am making a difference.
-
Hmmm.. That's interesting; the concept of a 'stay at home dad' is unique to this generation. My objection to them is actually based very much on historical observation, rather than 'ignorance', as you suggest. Furthermore, how do you know for certain that I've never met one personally? Even further, what if this personal contact with a 'stay at home dad' didn't even affect my viewpoint after the fact? Are views which are based purely on material research not credible or something?
-
Nope, I'm neither trolling nor stupid. Why do my comments automatically make you assume this, simply because I don't believe in 'stay at home dads'?
-
I'm neither. You don't have to be a 'fundamentalist Christian' or scared of women in order to think that the idea of a 'stay at home' dad is repulsive. Woman evolved to be naturally more understanding of and receptive to the needs of young children; so, apart from the obvious cultural backwardness, I see such a thing as being altogether harmful to the development of the children.
Anyways, it's not a 'tough guy' routine; I just think this is the result of male timidity, which must be stopped.
-
haha are you one of those uber fundamentalist christians or are yu just scared of women?
its funny that you thing that at home dads are pussies. ever met one?
anyway, drop your "internet tough guy" routine and gtfo if this stuf makes you so uncomfortable
Nobody should be dominating in a loving relationship, female or male, who both work TOGETHER to raise their children, no matter what the role is. The only loser here is you equating your masculinity to your paycheck. FYI, if you're not willing to do anything for your children, and that includes staying home with them, then you shouldn't be having kids, because you never know what circumstances will come up in these tough times.
