  • have met many very senior citizens who spoke of the old days of the monarchy. Egypt was by far on a higher level. I am Egyptian and sadly looking on Egypt today slumping into a 3rd world country with ever dwindling resources. As much as we were indoctrinated at school with history lessons of one version stories, education and economy are in shambles. Look at Egypt how it looked like before... sad sad to see such a police state today with a nation kept in fear and busy with earning a days wage

  • they remouved 1 king and replaced him with many kings

see all

  • @lge8710094 Actually we all miss these days :'(

  • @SultanChase hahahhaah.....you dont know any shit about Gamal abdel nasser....I think its better to say God bless King Farouk and Mohamed Naguib..Because both of them wished nothing but a better country..at the time of farouk there was democracy and al wafd party was 51% of the parliament opposing the british army.1952 revolution was brought by the army not the people.and also it brought us a series of dictators that we will never forget....Were is the dignity you're talking about to be tortured

  • God bless Mohammed Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser. They were giants among men. True nationalists and heroes who gave Egypt its first real taste of true dignity since 1882. They rank alongside Ahmed Orabi as the greatest of our people's servants. May God bless them, and curse the traitors who defile our land, such as those who cling to the lies about the failed monarchy, and the supporters of the murderous Mubarak.

  • My mother's father ( my grandfather) worked along side King farouk.. when farouk was ousted. my mother left cairo in the mid 60's and hasn't been back since.

She says she can't bear to see what has happened to her beloved egypt.

  • Thankyou for uploading this video it has helped me a lot, my great grandad was close friends with King Farouk and worked close by him looking after his children when he wasnt there, my Grandad grew up also in the palace until he was 8 because they had to evacuate back to england.. im doing a illustrated booked and this video has helped me with some visual images, thanks

  • nice video nice era

  • I searched this because my name is Farouk and i heard that Farouk was shy but a great leader kinda like me

  • I searched this because my name is Farouk

  • @1toscany Thank you... Its is hard in Egypt as so any things are based on emotions and history was and i re-written ... growing up at school in egypt everything is dubious before 1952 and everything was supposed t be great since then but when you look at simple numbers then you can see the exact opposite from economy, quality of life, social relations... Its always a joy to talk to older citizens and they tell stories of Egypt that "was". When it comes to today.. hopefully all for the best

  • @homobohemicus I must commend you on you comments here, from a year ago. Who would have ever thought the world would witness what is happening there today...
