  • This is hillarious. For those who don't know--this skit was originally done with Kermit and Big V on the Ed Sulivan Show.

  • @glowworm2 And it was done earlier in The Jack Paar Show in 1964.

  • When it came to the original Inchworm sketch seen on "The Ed Sullivan Show," it had Kermit seeing an inchworm only to discover that it was the nose of Big V. Here, Lenny the Lizard appeared in Kermit's spot while Gorgon Heap was in Big V's spot. Big V did make a cameo in the "Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series" episode "Mokey's Flood of Creativity" and appeared alongside Gorgon Heap in a Muppet book with the Muppet characters doing their rendition of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."

  • @Rtkat3 WatchMojo vids. Most material also says Kermit was meant to be an abstract lizard-like creature.

  • @NaiTaiDai Where does it say that Jim Henson originally wanted Kermit to be a lizard?

  • should be Glowworm... not Inchworm.... but still awesome seeing this bit again... thanks much for posting! ^_^

  • Kermit was originally meant to be a lizard, but Jim couldn't find enough material for frills for the original Kermit's neck.

  • Sweet lord.......i saw this bit when i was 3 years old. scared the PISS outta me.

  • @Cartoonyworld109 No. I don't know who that is? But it finally gets eaten by Gorgon Heap.

  • Was that Kermit?

  • I wonder why Lenny wasn't used in the show's 5th Season.

  • @Pikachu4352 And on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1965 that clip is on Youtube as well.
