I'm really not a big fan of Patrick Kavanagh. We studied some of his poetry in school, and most of what I can remember was a dreary dull dirge about the stony gray soil of Monaghan. However, he did write some decent stuff, notably On Raglan Road, and he's got a cool statue on the bank of the Grand Canal here in Dublin.
Given that there are no words here, maybe I would have been more correct in calling this piece "Fáinne Geal an Lae" (the title of the original air), but I've only ever known it in the context of "On Raglan Road", so that's what I'm calling it.
This is pretty much the first time I played the tin whistle in about 25 years, so it's nothing fancy.. just a bit of fun.
this is dawning of the day not on raglan road

not bad dude but it'd sound better if you slurred all the notes except the ones that double up and perhaps tongue or cut those? but your consistency is ace, well done :D
