burns very similar to gun cotton or cotton soaked in liquid oxygen (a bit slower though). still out of the ordinary.

  • Glad to hear the tile is ok, I was dumb enough once to put some flash powder on a formica table top. The flash was fun, but replacing the formica wasn't.

  • @TheMrbumpas that sucks... I used to do flash powder on index cards on the ground and it was rare to burn a hole through them. Left a nice scorch mark though

  • how much longer did it take to crack the ceramic tiles and piss-off the landlord?have to admit, if I ever get some 90% h2o2 I'll be trying that myself

  • @TheMrbumpas nothing happed to the tile just some soot that wiped off

  • Are you still working with the peroxide? I have a project I need help with.

  • @hacksaw44 what is your project?

  • Where did you get 90% H2O2

  • @ben2point0 I have less time to react with a peroxide burn onto bare skin than with latex gloves on.

  • bet MOM was real happy that you did that on her COUNTERS. lol

that 1979 tile is hard to replace now in 2011. lol

p.s. great way to teach TEENAGERS how to light shit on fire

  • very combustible!

  • This burns extremely slower than gun cotton, don't fuck about with this like you can with gun cotton, it just doesn't instantly combust into thin air.

  • hey, I'm working on a project to make a more efficient gun powder. I want to either use pure nitrocellulose, or this. would this work as a propellant? if so, does it burn in a closed container, along with that how much gas is produced by the reaction?

  • Can it be use as a substitute for gun cotton?

  • @ben2point0

I think what you're forgetting is that hydrogen peroxide constricts capillaries in the skin and can cause blood clots on contact.

    Dangerous chemicals > fire
