hello man, i have the same system as yours, same config, and i install ubuntu 10.04 yesterday but iam new with ubunto, and i have running on the same HD win 7, after install ubunto, you update the drivers to work properly? ubunto appears to run smooth and all ok, but dont know if i have to update drivers and how.

Anyone with an XPS15 be sure to install the bumblebee package which will allow you to now use both the Intel and the Nvidia graphics cards in Ubuntu 11.04. The package is still in development but works very well.
Just google "bumblebee optimus" and you should find it.

Hey, mind making another video demonstrating how well ubuntu works with your xps 15? Or at least, whether wifi works, graphics switching (optimus), etc work?

Hello Gigacore, your xps 15 works well with ubuntu? i'm planning to buy this laptop, but i'm not sure.. can you use all the features of the computer (hdmi, usb ports...) ?. I would really appreciate your help. thanks!.

@macondoy I've not yet tried connecting any devices via HDMI port, but have read that many others are able to do it on ubuntu without any issues. And USB ports work without any glitch. Especially the USB 3.0 ports are faster on ubuntu!
