@MrPinto1970 When a locomotive belches out thick clouds of black smoke, that means that the locomotive's traction motors are overworked, causing the diesel fuel consumption to increase to boost the tractive force, as a result more fuel than normal is being burned which accounts for the increase amount of smoke. GP38 locomotives are not turbo-charged and the MP15 added to the plight. Every GE loco was turbocharged so locomotives like the B32-7s would have been better suited for this train.
