@HelloItsSharonT they die at the end... the story is explained at the comments before i think.. but anyway, they were good together at the beginning but things started to change and she was unhappy but she loved him, and i guess because she saw that he started going away from her she couldn't find any oother way to keep him but to give him a pill to make him sleep(that's were they kiss and he pushes her) and then she drives straight in the sea....

the meaning of the song suits both the girl's perspective and xiao gui's...but who supposedly sings the song...the girl can't give him what he want/ or he can't give her what she wants..moreover they are both silent...so , i guess it's the same for both of them...
