http://www.katsbits.com/tutorials/#virtualdevelopers - Before exporting, an 'Action' has to be added. Select the Armature and go into POSE mode (Ctrl+TAB). Open up the 'Action' window (Shift+F12) and with the Armature selected press "i" and select "LocRotScale".
You can make content *for* IMVU *with* Blender. Whilst it's still not officially supported (i.e. fully compatible) you can make a decent amount of content for IMVU using it.

i don't get it. how is Imvu related to Blender? lots of videos seem to have some about it...can anyone tell me?
