@EVOLHEL hey bro really enjoying your videos and i was wondering what that hud is :) ,
-
@EVOLHEL was logged in with gf account above... yea, that sounds really interesting, but side projects rarely see the light of day, i know what you mean :)
2 or 3 years ago i had the idea of making a "replay practice bot" for q2, so that you could record some movements and then have a bot play them back, mainly for practicing tricky shots and angles. it even works :D i have a vid of it on my channel, "quake 2 tmod" or smth
i wanted to make something similar for q3, but never got around to it :(
-
@crogeek actually it was a QuakeWorld map, and then ported to Q2, Q3 and QL.
-
@MCHanzz dm6 (campgrounds), sure, but I don't think Almost Lost is a duel map. I've never seen it in any duel map pool. I don't know the reason for it not being popular in duel honestly. Might be too easy to control.

Pk3 extensions (speaking about file format) in QuakeLive and even in Quake 2 to Quake 3 are actually a zip archives with compiled data into it, check that out. And also as I far know , Q3 was under GPL for some time, even you can find Q3 source on the 'net - but as I far know Aerowalk wasn't introduced in Q3 Arena, it was introduced in CPMA

istn't wolfcam open source? it parses dm3 files (or ql demo files, however their extension was), so you should be able to get it
q3 bsp (=map) file format is fairly well documented on the net, i think all they changed in ql is the version number in the header (you can load ql maps in q3, for example, by altering the version with a hex editor)
the ql pak files are encrypted but they use a fairly simple xor encryption i think and there's a decryption tool somewhere anyway :)
so here u go :)

@Xou1234 It is indeed open source. I have the source already, I just need to become familiar with it. The tool is called "quakelivedec" and it's open source as well (a single c file, 184 lines). I still think the damage visualization would be really interesting, but I have a new idea I'm more interested in implementing. A sort of timeline that shows your item pickups, frags, and deaths. I'm pretty busy though, so it'll probably never happen, haha.

It's nice for begginers, really enjoyable video but not for players who are like world top 300...
Change this model and if i would a noob i could watch this .:)

@GreneMamba0 Yeah my vids are mostly self serving, since I am a duel noob myself (500 duels). But, there's plenty of people trying to learn that can benefit from my learning experience, haha. If you're good, make higher level commentaries of your games! We need more crap like this out there...long live quake.
