Battle of Oliva - Bitwa pod Oliwą

Bitwa pod Oliwą - bitwa morska pomiędzy flotą polską, a eskadrą okrętów szwedzkich, stoczona 28 listopada 1627 roku na redzie Gdańska. Nazwa ta jest nazwą tradycyjnie przypisywaną tej bitwie.
Była to pierwsza i jedyna większa bitwa morska młodej polskiej floty, mimo to zakończona zwycięstwem nad słabszą liczebnie, lecz porównywalną jakościowo i bardziej doświadczoną eskadrą szwedzką.

The naval Battle of Oliva, also Battle of Oliwa or Battle of Gdańsk Roadstead, took place on 28 November 1627 during the Polish-Swedish War outside Danzig (Gdansk) harbour near Oliva (Oliwa), a village outside of Danzig. It was the biggest and the last naval battle of the Polish royal navy, but it brought a victory over a Swedish squadron.
The Swedes had a strong navy, and they maintained a blockade of the Baltic shore, especially Danzig harbour. On 28 November 1627, the Polish fleet engaged the Swedish blockading squadron. The Polish ships were more numerous, but only four galleons had full combat value, the rest were smaller ships. The Swedes had a longer tradition of seamanship, while the Polish navy was newly formed.

@monkeynuts76, NO SILLY KID, there were no cameras in 1627. This is a film about the battle, there are no photographs or film of wars until the U.S. Civil War in 1860 (Photos) or the Spanish American War period 1890's (reenactment films or field footage but not actial combat film).

@Wolfen443 Polish ship was fighting for example in Battle for Atlantic and were supporting allies during Battle for Narvik and we still have navy, but probably it isn't very impressing.

Yes very actual. As you may know art of photography in 1627 was very advanced. Poles and sweds were "shooting photos" using own mobile phones with camera....damn yankee morons.
