ndsu is threatened! anything positive out of grand forks is traditionally hockey first and football second. whenever an arguement breaks out und vs ndsu the first thing bizon fans say is "no one cares about hockey" and und throws the whole "we own the nickel, win it back" ndsu has a bunch od d2 nat'l titles in football good for them, but d2 football titles arent as big of a deal as d1 hockey nat'l titles.

your a dumb shit! put ndsu hoops in the fargodome and compare popularity of attendance and television to that sport no one cares about in grand forks! yes basketball is bigger nationally than hockey, no one argues that and if they do-they are dumb shits as well. but hockey is a mainstream sport in minnesota & north dakota! when minnesota colleges start bringing in more people for hoops than hockey your points will be valid, until then hating on hockey is just jealous bizon fans!

wow, bison fans are so arrogant and so threatened by und hockey...it blows my mind! im a gopher fan and im supposed to hate und, but ndsu fans are so dillusional! hockey doesnt matter in minnesota and north dakota? really? the force are in a way better situation than the jets(urban plains center is very nice and the market it very well) und and ndsu are equalsto everyone not from fargo/grand forks! nationally no one cares or remembers your hoop dreams and both football teams will suck!

Hey Josh, appreciate your response. I don't know how many UND/NDSU games you remember but since 1970 NDSU has defeated UND 20 times to14.

Lets not even go into the Pecan Bowls of the 60's. UND is in the Great West .....wow, who paved the way for them. As far as successful hockey teams here......Sugar Kings, 1 season gone. FM Bears.....1 season gone..........FM Express gone after 1 season.......FM Jets avg. 986 people per game.......league avg............3000.

in the region ndsu is currently in, hockey is a huge deal! look at the fargo force-a semi-pro team in fargo, a town that doesnt care about hockey, out drew the ndsu hoops team in attendance on a nightly basis. im a gophers fan and i love minny hockey as well as hoops and football, but your being very arrogant about no one caring about hockey...by the way und owns ndsu in football, look at the record vs und...ndsu: win the nickel back, then you can talk shit

yes minn should have beaten them-but with coaching change comes roster change and believe it or not, minn lost a lot of talent due to rape charges, quitting, tranfers, academics. same thing happened in mich. ndsu caught us at the right time and should have beaten us the first go around. im excited for the future go around however

actually in transition they are not considered d2, they are noted as being a div1aa school without affiliation to a conference or consideration of eligibility. so your incorrect. very good attempt to though! when you go through the transition your allowed your scholarships prior to becoming a full fledged d1aa school. therefore having too many scholarships to be considered d2!!!
