My Evo and a friend's S2000 making headway through a PCA session at the Glen. Evo was pulling nice through the uphills and the s2000 had incredible cornering speed.

Great event with a great group of people. Much fun was had.

VW goes off track on second lap. Nice guy he laughed about it afterwards. I hope he gets to find this.

  • This was the 2nd run of Sunday. The last two runs were in the wet. Understeered big time through the toe and turn 8. Definitely, good times.

  • thanks a lot man, i have a lot of reading and research to do, but I appreciate your help a lot

  • most autoxrs use the gendron bar. romar racing in orange county ny welded in the roll bar. recaro seats and harness from par cars in new rochelle. seat rail from science of speed. my roll bar is not ideal. you should check out bethania-garage. i'm pretty sure they make a good bolt in for the s2000. you can find many more answers at s2ki under "s2000 racing and competition." youtube doesn't allow me to post the actual URL's to these companies, but they're all on the web.

  • thanks man, yah i just got my s2k about 3 weeks ago, (silver 2002, with 24k miles)ive been looking to getting into autox and track days for quite some time now (old cars = evo and m3)

for autox i'm looking into some rcompound tires and sway bars, eventually coilovers

where did you get your custom roll bar put in? and what race seat, harness, and rails do you have?

    thanks man

  • the s2k is pretty much good to go from the dealer if you are a newbie. if you are an experienced tracker, brake pads and track tires are good additions. some tracks require additional roll-over protection. hard dog makes a bolt-in. mine was a custom job. i also added a race seat to lower seating position and a 6 point harness to hold me in better.

  • what modifications and gear do you need to run an s2000 like this in a track day?

im not talking speed mods just what are the required safety things?

  • great group indeed. everyone was courteous with point-by's and lifted for me on the straights.

  • Great group. My brother and I were in your run group (red 911 and black corvette). You guys were fast. Was this the last run on Sunday? I left after the 3rd run on Sunday and was wondering if the last group was rain free.
