I just shed a tear. I could feel this soul was just burgeoning with feeling….. Most passionately and elegantly sung. The jerker for me was not what she sang, but what her young soul was yet able to communicate. I'd love to see the rest of the performance. Brava!

C'est tout à fait correct, mais la note grave n'est pas tenue plus d'une mesure. C'est la principale difficulté de cet air : une note grave tenue 3 mesures, la dernière avec point d'orgue . Il est très difficile d'entendre cette note, chantée en decrescendo sur la 3ème mesure dans la plupart des enregistrements, et on peut supposer que certaines interprètes ne vont pas jusqu'au bout! Mais on l'entend quand même sur 2 mesures ou 2 et demie. Ecoutez Sylvia Greenberg.
