I wanted to make a response to this guy's videos:

http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=JamesYoung764

But I didn't want to do them one at a time. And since the idea of YouTube is to kind of sort of be a place for amateur directors, I thought I'd make it into a show.

I call it "Bogosity," and I just might be doing more of these whenever I see something completely bogus that needs a thorough debunking.

The other videos I use are:
James Randi debunking Horoscopes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Dp2Zqk8vHw
John Stossel debunking Astrological profiles: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xq2giPQGKOk

Other non-video sources are credited in the video.

Hope you enjoy!

NOTE: This video is back up! James Young LIED to YouTube and said I had "pirated" his material, when everything I did was fair use under Title 17. I'd like to thank YouTube for properly examining the situation and reinstating the videos.

  • Ironically, your video is a great way to learn about astrology. Newspapers and yahoo is not a good source to get horoscope readings. You can't really dismiss astrology because what yahoo says does not fit you. Astrology is more than that. It's actually a very precise science.

  • @VenusAsABoyFilms Bullshit; watch the rest of the video. Don't just stop after the first 7 or 8 minutes.

  • @shanedk Typical Leo, you just want attention. LOL. You might want to take an anger management class or something, instead of throwing your unconscious emotional baggage at others. In your attempt to be "rational" ... you are just proving your irrationality, kiddo.

  • @VenusAsABoyFilms As I showed, I'm really a cancer.

Can you explain the Time Twins study?

  • This negative rating is some sort of robot attack, it cant be true.

  • @5m1nutes It is. There was a creationist vote-bot that went through my (and many others') channel and gave 100 1-star (as it was then) votes to all of the videos, creationist or otherwise.

No it's not, Astrology is completely rejected by the scientific community. It's referred to as a pseudoscience by academia.

  • If you're vague enough, any thing you predict will eventually come true. Watch: I'm the worlds greatest psychic. Shane will spill a liquid at some point in the next month.

  • @VenusAsABoyFilms Physics is a precise science. If I perform a certain action with a known magnitude and direction, etc, I can predict exactly what will happen with infinitesimal uncertainty. This is not so with Astrology, which only gives you vague musings.

  • @VenusAsABoyFilms Everyone has personality traits that fit into the vague outline of the starsigns, it enables confirmation bias. You should maybe look at your beliefs rationally.

  • Dear Astrology:

If a space station in the Vega system should house a mother who gives birth to a child, what astrological sign should that child use?

    Sincerely, Astronomy.

  • Dear Astrology:

If someone is born under the cancer sign along with their identical twin, and then one twin travels away from the Earth in a rocket ship at nearly the speed of light, turns and comes back, in such a way that when he returns his twin is a month older than him, which atrology tables should he use now?

    Sincerely, Relativity.
