so how are these people doing evil? why do you hint at that with the verses flashing across.....the verse has nothing to do with these people.....Is it that it doesn;t match "your brand" of christianity? Maybe not your style of music so you call it evil.....I think we need to let the REAL GOD do the judging.........shall i write a famous verse? well i will anyway "Judge NOT lest ye be Judged"

I used to be one of these people. It should also be mentioned the peer pressure to behave like the rest of the crowd during the mass hysteria generated by song services. If you don't jump around, raise your hands, and holler your head off, other people will tell you things like "you have a blockage", or "you must be harboring sin because you're not being touched" ,ect, ect. ect.

@jonniec7 Anyone who has studied Greek and/or Hebrew could show you the errors in mere minutes. Mind you, it's doubtless the greatest English translation of the Bible ever made, but no translation is perfect, because there is often no way to fully render the meaning of the original text in another language.

@CathyFromPensacola I'm a strong believer in the Holy Trinity, but the verse you quote, 1 Jn 5.7, is not present in any Greek text prior to the Middle Ages. It is a later insertion, and while I agree with the theology, and it is consistent with what the rest of the New Testament teaches, it simply isn't what St. John wrote. Find any educated conservative Christian pastor in your area who knows Greek (as opposed to just knowing use Strong's Concordance) and he will verify this for you.

Whats wrong with singing and dancing to the Lord?? Let them worship... geez!

as a former pentecostal i can tell you that all this ranting and prancing is AN ACT. They are COMMANDED to do this whether they feel it or not. they call it praise when it is nothing of the sort.
but either way it is dangerous. it drove me to a breakdown.
it is purely pagan prayer as they think that God needs to be coerced with loud and screaming flattery, as if He were so stupid as to be taken in by this.
this is in fact an insult to the intelligence of God ALmighty

you could not prove the kjv has corruptions in it to save your life....your duped

Discernment is a gift. Not everyone has it. Those who do, get shot down by the very ones they try to warn. We are called self-righteous, full of pride, and judgmental. If you will not hear, you will only have yourself to blame, for your coming destruction. Let him who has ears to hear, hear.

People following ancient Biblical texts and manipulating it to suit their needs, its not smart, but what can i say, people have the right to do as they want, even the right to stupidity... and when people translate the Sumerian tablets to conspire that there were aliens that created humans, people laugh at them :P

Why single out this particular style of worship as "mass hypnosis"? It doesn't matter how it's done. If you're an otherwise rational adult who is convinced that a guru was once born of a virgin, walked on water, came back from the dead, and rose into the sky under his own power, then you've been hypnotized.
@CathyFromPensacola - I think you're confusing the NWT with the NIV. I use the NIV with JWs to prove the deity of Christ quite successfully (with the Holy Spirit's enlightening working with them). I am a Trinitarian so hold dearly to the deity of Christ. In fact, the KJV has corruptions within it too. I find it incredible that people try to use tongues from the past. Read 1 Cor 14 about the usage of unintelligble tongues in church, esp when unbelievers are there.

@BillySquid2011 Nope. The NIV is corrupt too. Here is ONE of many examples where it DELETES and CHANGES Scripture:
KKV
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one
NIV
1 John 5:7 For there are three that testify:
5:8 the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

The KJV was a milestone in bringing the Bible to the people in a language they could understand 400 YEARS AGO. Language evolves, so why the need to have an understanding of a 400 year old language to be able to understand the word of God? Those who are KJV only are similar to those who tried to keep the Bible in Latin so everyday folk couldn't understand it! There are very good modern versions for people on the street. FORSOOTH, Jesus worked with the languages of His time & area, why not us? ;)

@BillySquid2011 That's what I used to think until it came to my attention of all the corruption in the modern versions to water down the diety of Christ.
