This is the last match of the last tournament of the year, and what an epic match it was. Not only was it an epic match... it was a very beautiful way to end her very succesful season.

Sharapova's won 3 slams. And at 22, her career isn't even close to being over yet. You can judge someone a diminished champion at the end of their career. Marat Safin is a diminished champion. Maria is not.
Maria...is a person who relies 75% on her serve to consistently win matches. Her shoulder has ruined her serve forever. It'll never be what it used to be...that, among other things, will be her downfall.
I respectfully disagree. After watching her Tokyo matches, it's safe to say her serve can go back to what it used to be. She's gone back to a more elongated motion, which helps her timing. This summer she was serving 15-20 double faults per match and she was still pulling out wins over top 10 players.

lost her power thru shrieking! :D
but justine has a more explosive down-the-line backhand as well as a steadier backhand.
Also, her backhand side does not break down
nearly as much as Federer's.
