Deal as I heard it was that PICKWICK CITY, a very low level record production company put out 45s that could be bought for a buck at the super market or dairy Queen or what ever they had 45 years ago. They were specifically looking for catchy new dances they could jump on. Though I'm sure Lou thought it was hysterical,I'' bet he was eager to get paid whatever small sum they gave him for it. I'd love to know if there is an existing cover of this.
