Two Klr650's Ride 700 miles to the Outer banks

Me and my buddy butch decided to ride to the outer banks from baltimore, MD. It was about 700+ miles round trip and we did it in 3 days without a problem, except for massive amounts of rain and thunderstorms.

Real cool video. Thanks for sharing. My ride is a red '08 and been real happy with it. Started out with it's little brother..a ke100 back in the 70's when a dual sport was an enduro. Saw the bear highway sign....my kid just missed a blackbear about a mile from my house. Got damaged in a non bike thing in March and started walking again in June so it's cool to have videos like yours to watch. Is the hair color to match the bike? Thanks again for your post.

I've watched many KLR videos if not all of them and I enjoyed this one the most. The use of the music was great and still photos along with the big dude trying to get through the sand was cool. Good job. I've got a 2009 KLR and will be purchasing the '10 model for my wife. We plan on going on trips a lot this year and hopefully will have some intersting video footage for utube.

Mine does 75 alright. Its not really stressing the enigne too much... but I do check the oil after any long time on highway at that speed. If you are only doing highway.. then get a cruiser. Any kind of dual sport at all though, and the KLR should be your pack mule of choice :)

how does it do at 75 mph? would you recommend me getting one for a long road trip from utah to central america?

Cool video. I've got the fast red '08 but 8 inches of snow fall last nite. It'll be a few months before it gets to go over the mountain.

Looked like a fun wet trip. Hey man next time you guys do a trip give me a heads up I will tag along if its cool, I am on the eastern shore. Picked up my KLR when I got back from Iraq and I love it.
