Update: This video was featured in a Sports Illustrated article, in which it was insinuated that I had outdone Lebron James. Hence, this challenge to Mr. James himself. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv8eXw-De6k

While on a jog I picked up a stray basketball lying on the indoor track above the basketball courts. One dribble and a between the legs shot later? Splash...from, oh, 40 feet?

For everything else there's hard work.

Side note, it's been two years and you still found my video; thanks for the extra hit. They offer SI in Australia? You must have just received this issue LOL

  • Right, there just happened to be a stray ball up there and your friend just happened to be filming you jogging on a track? Right....

  • Here'sthe explanation from avorachak127 above: "i was filming the guys below him and they lost/threw a ball up there. so we asked the kid running, throwdown3927, for help and he threw it in lol. greatness. i had the camera running the whole time. then i gave him the video via email because it was sick and his shot"

  • Great shot, but it definitely was set up for the attempt. Why else would the filming of you not be zoomed closer? And why was the camera angle so perfect to catch the hoop?

    No way this "just happened".

  • It wasn't a football. It was a multi-colored basketball. A football wouldn't make the net-ripping sound.
