some 800 grit sandpaper and a can of clearcoat do a pretty decent job too

I have been cleaning peoples headlights for years and making a few extra bucks. The way I always do it is with rubbing compound then wax it with some good 3m wax but I apply it with a buffer and remove it with a buffer. The wax protects it from happening again in the future.
