@GunbladeKnight If I could think of the name of the anime I would give you that. But no popotan was not the first. That was made back in 2002 or w.e. But, The anime I am speaking of is from the 80s, its about a boy and his cat who is almost human. It is weird.

An amv of it is in my favorites if you want to take a looksy.

@truints Late, but I believe the first was from the opening to an Adult Visual Novel (as it was known as the Popotan dance meme originally, then when Weeabos found out about it, it became the Caramelldansen meme).

@GigaEXE Actually, that dance was started from an old anime about a boy and his cat who comes to life or something, its from the 70s or something and its that exact dance. It was not created by the speedycake version of this song.

@uberjoras LOL! I don't blame him. It's created an internet phenomenon. It's even in TV cartoons (example: the dance is in Phineas and Ferb from Disney channel).
