@Nordicwarrior @ matchstickdave It's one thing to say it, another to do it, although I'm just as guilty in that respect. I would like to give you one message to convince you not to want to go to South America, but instead to commit yourself to change the place you 2 now live: /watch?v=f0IopdH1e3s

@matchstickdave I am an Anarchist-Communist, I have read of the Spanish Civil war, but I know that the EZLN are fighting a defensive war, I don't think they want gung-ho radicals coming down. I also think they'd be wary of anyone trying to join from another country, that it might draw the ire of those nations intelligence agencies. I'd love to live with the EZLN and help them, but I feel that they would not trust outsiders, especially Americans.

I would love to organize an International Brigade a la Spanish Civil War to fight along side the Zapatistas. I know plenty of democratic socialists, anti-capitalists, and believers in people-centered globalization here in the US that would join. i wonder what the logistics of getting its members into Chiapas would be like? Its members would probably have to enter Mexico in pairs of just 2 or 3. I wonder if the EZLN would even want an International Brigade. If only there were more like the EZLN!

I NAMED MY KID AFTER THIS MAN, IS AN HONOR THE ONE DAY I WILL TELL MY SON WHERE I GOT HIS NAME....

@MxMcJIMP I can totally understand what you are saying, it's true that many people think of mexico this way but i'd like to say that this is not the image i have from mexico. I have been to argentina as a tourist so i have an idea of how south america looks like. Like you said I am going to travel to mexico this summer, to see with my own eyes what's happening. I am Definetely not looking for adventure in your country my friend, but anyway, i appreciate your input. thanks a lot !

@riqyl32 Yes we Are open To People from other countries Just erase the Image you Have from Mexico. I Said That because everyone think in Mexico as a Poor Country With Small towns and in the Middle of the Desert. Come here and See with your own Eyes what is Happening here and in other countries of Latin America. Don't Come here searching Adventure in The Wrong Places pleace.
open your eyes more, and go investigate what you are writing about, because it seems very simple and biased, about 5% true in other words. Si prefieres español, igual. They "took back" land which is different. They had and still have the army and paramilitaries destroying their crops, and making it as difficult as possible to farm properly. The coyotes and government restrictions on them selling their crops and product is of no help either. 95% nonsense ? Change your balance.
