Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner says he supports President Obama's proposal to create a new consumer protection agency to safeguard taxpayers from another economic meltdown. But the head of the Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke insists those powers should rest with the central bank. VOA's Mil Arcega reports.

  • ???@1:02- 1:11 So he basically approves his own proposal? Seeing that Geithner IS the secretary. Don't really see where The Fed is losing out on that one. What a complete monstrosity.

  • haha criminal bastards fighting eachother, gotta love that.

  • This is just Geithner trying to get even more power for himself and his buddy Obama than he has already grabbed. The Fed keeps messing with Capitolism and needs to be Abolished. Get the Govt. out of the economy so it can recover! Stop printing money which leads to inflation which is a hidden tax on everyone, and stop borrowing money to pay for things we cannot afford!

  • The bankers dont want the public and congress to have oversight of their activities because they are the New World Order monolopy
