  • well I dont know why it is bad to teach tricks to a horse. John Lyon is a great man, I like better guy like him who's priority is the relationship with the horse than great riders with crazy horses. When horses feel good, people feel good and it become awsome ...

  • i am sorta thinking jamieazlin hasn't read john's curriculum or watched his dvds. i have his entire curriculum and there is no way that you could follow it and not have the most dead broke horse you've ever had. however, he DOES also know how to have fun with his horses as a demonstration of the trust he shares with his them. out of all of his teaching material, i would say maaaaybe 5% of his stuff teaches tricks, if that.

  • oh John Lyons you silly man- collection is far more than the "two ends coming together" You can bring the two ends together and have a horse moving VERY uncollected.. You must start with the rib cage and wither- if you don't have them you can't collect a horse properly. Here's why I've never liked him, he teaches people how to make a trick horse and NOT a broke horse. just my 2 cents. :)
