That's amazing it took you so long to go there. It's one of the greatest places on earth.

Looks amazing. If I ever go to the States I'll have to pay it a visit.

California, Or, Wa, Wyoming, Utah and Montana were all once very violent regions on this planet. This would have dwarfed Mt St Helens.

I live in Medford myself and i love to hike around crater lake and I love visiting there. . Its really beautifull. In the winter its really nice with the snow and everything. Its pretty freaky that it use to be a volcano, Mazama had to have been huge before it blew! And Crater lake is the deepest lake in the US at 594 m (1,949 ft)deep. It is very pretty i love it:)

Was at Crater Lake in early June 08 when there was still snow on the ground. Boat rides were not available and the road surrounding the lake was still closed. It was a very clear day and the lake was very blue. It was beautiful. It is one of my favorite places. When I am stressed out, I think for a moment about this serene, quiet, and magnificent beauty of this place. Visit if you have the opportunity. Thanks for posting. It was nice seeing it from a different view.
