I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (August 14), Ruth 8:8-18 was the basis for our Sunday School lesson. It was entitled "Choosing a Community."

Many people use this in weddings, which is a beautiful idea. But this was said by Ruth to Naomi, her mother in law. What a wonderful example for all of us. I strive to be the kind of mother in law that my "in laws" would feel this way.

Beautiful... Is there a video around for "Wherever you go" from the Book of Ruth (or lyris??)
-
Interesting that Ruth spoke the words to her mother-in-law (after her husband had died). Thank God for women who love their sons' wives as their own daughters and seek to lead them to GOD.
