People just dont realize that if it wasn't for the african slaves coming to the carribean we wouldn't have mambo, salsa, rumba, musica jibara, merengue; bachata, guaracha, pachanga, la bomba y la plena, montuno, el son, boogaloo, danza, cha cha cha or what ever u want to call the music and the roots are all from africa paque lo sepa.
