maybe she means if the first wife had it as a condition in the marriage certificate, when i got married that was one of my conditions that i would be his only wife and when he agreed then we got married. maybe thats what she meant

You do not need the "permission" from your first wife to take another wife!!!!!
Out of respect I would be best to inform her so she can mentaly and spritually prepare for new extention of the family.

at 0:44 the women says it is really hard to treat women equally and justly. this is true, but it is addressed in the Qur'an in Surah 4 verse number 3. This verse basically says a man cannot treat their wives with perfect justice. So to say a man cannot marry for perfect justice seems wrong based on the Qur'an translation

I often wonder why people from a culture where the word "marriage" has no meaning - that is, men can become intimate with 100 other women without being punished - would criticize polygamy in Islam, which limits intimacy to 4 women provided strict conditions are met - the wife gives her permission, all wives are treated equally, etc..

"be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear" you don't come over as meek
Keep your beliefs,because If you honestly believe the ten virgins parable is teaching about polygamy, then I can/t take anything you say seriously.

@BroadswordMinistry you assume too much and give me too much credit. I was hardly assertive, let alone aggressive. Self-righteous? Are you actually serious? Have you ever heard of the verse "study to show yourself approved"? As for your theology, you showed what you believe by injecting the concept of bridesmaids into Matthew 25:1 when it had nothing to do with bridesmaids. The Messiah was using the concept of polygamy to illustrate the Almighty Creator's kingdom.

"is your position so weak" you are so agressive, and self righteous, you ever stopped to think you could be in error yourself? "I know the scriptures" no, what you mean is "I know what I believe and every other viewpoint is wrong". What theology do I support then? you don't know me or my theology.
