Happens quite often in competitions at Homebush. The high jump bags are full size senior size and the uprights position the bat over the front edge of the bag.

I am waiting for some boy to straddle the upright. Cruel aren't I

My freak jumper Thibaut landed completely off the bags in his first real competition as a 9 year old.

No matter what you jump, have a good time.

In Australia, we have school competitions in winter. Lucky we don't get cold weather like you do.

The high school junior boys I coach have their first real competition on next Tuesday. Bar having a broken toe or a bent ego, they should both jump about 1.50m.

Very few boys can high jump. Main reassn is they are either too heavy or just lack the spring in their leg muscles. The height of the jumper is of little consequence at this age.

thats sad that some of them cant even make 1:30 i can im only 11 and im probably way shorter then al of them

Hollis Conway is only some 1.83m tall and can jump 2.40m.

Jacob and Thibaut were in the Pacific Games Basketball at Canberra last December.

What is he doing now? Thiabaut heard he may be going to Newington as a boarder this year ?
