Lithium-ion battery producer, A123 Systems Inc, goes public under symbol AONE, thereby, influencing the future of emerging energy storage companies, particularly in the electric vehicle sector. Its forecasted that by 2015, five million cars will be electric, this is pushing established automotive suppliers to focus on rechargeable battery technology. A123 is not the only one. Several other companies will be going public over the next few years.
