One remark might mislead people not familiar with the night sky: The faint outer parts of the Andromeda galaxy cannot be seen with the naked eye, but the bright central disk is quite easy to recognize from a moderately dark site as an elongated patch of light.

hi..i was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I want to buy Meade Lightswitch telescope, but my question is, would I be able to catch simillar images with that telescope..something like in this video
