March on Washington 2009

I trekked from Rochester, MN to Washington, DC for the 2009 March Washington (on my own dime...no astroturfing). I took a minute or two to step to the side and videotape some of the march along Pennsylvania Avenue.

The event was like a church picnic. The people were friendly, happy, and very concerned about the dangerous path our current government is taking. Just plain, decent, average people. According to the news tonight, there were 0 (zero) arrests made at the event.

Thanks.. It was the protesters who did a spectacular job. I was amazed at how nice everybody there was.

It's amazing that I watched this video for nearly 7 minutes and didn't see any nazi symbols or anything resembling a hate filled mob. I am sure that the MSNBC reporters had to have seen the hundreds of thousands of "REAL" Americans but decided to fixate on the less than 1% who had offensive signs.
