  • He has the most magical voice and was the perfect actor to play Saruman, I really dont think any other actor could pull it off as perfectly

  • @waxcoatedbanjo totally, specially since Saruman is famous for his voice, if any other person plays Saruman i will be outraged, its either him or NOONE, you hear me Jackson, him or NONE.

  • @Basram Saruman here with another great offer! It's the Grima Wormtongue! It stays in your house, mooches your food and hits on your niece! Absolutely perfect for any senile old king! And if you call now, we'll take the Hobbits to Isengard for free!*

*Offer does not include shipping and handling.

    Something along those lines? :P

  • @waxcoatedbanjo Billy Mays

  • @waxcoatedbanjo Have you seen him in the Wicker Man? If you haven't, do yourself a favor. He is a great performer.

  • is this the same actor as count dooku from starwars??!

  • @waxcoatedbanjo He also knows so much about Lord of the Rings. He read the whole series once every year. It was said that he helped Peter Jackson in making the films.

  • @DrQuailMan They don't age. The Istari or The Five Wizards take the form of old men and they stay in that form until they're task is done and they go back to Valinor or if they die, but they don't age, grow longer beards etc.

  • @ReuWil I wasn't talking so much about that. I meant if he were to play Saruman from the Silmarillion/Unfinished Tales period his character wouldn't be corrupted as much. So even though it might be true to cannon, the people watching would expect something different.

  • @Tobolococo It was him. :-)

  • Indeed - however - he did...with modern technology he was able to be filmed at a completely different location and can be pieced into the scenes so that he would not have to travel.

  • @woohooboy His scenes were already shot sometime in mid 2011 for both films from England - you can find a clip of part of the shootings where they do a brief little skit with him and Peter Jackson - look up the video "Christopher Lee returns as Saruman"
