@jimmydcap No, the best transport system for every big city are trams or light subway sistems. Build a big monorail system is very expensive.

@JohnLeeMD It will eventually connect to the airport, just not any time soon. Before the economic crunch hit, it was planned to be at the airport by 2012; now it may not happen until 2014 or later.

It is too bad that they didn't really go all-out with this: connecting to the airport (and eventually downtown), going directly on the Strip (not behind it), and even going through casinos (imagine that)! Just like a ride at Disneyland, except actually providing a service. I want to embrace this, but detractors are right: it's as much a hassle as anything else.

@sonofmabarker beats the walk in the heat.. one mile in Vegas.. people, heat, traffic..

It is expensive. It's better the bus, cost $7.00 24 hours. Train cost $5.00 only one way.

Not cheap at all...

Five dollars is not cheap to go one mile.

@jimmydcap I had heard that they're not that popular, oddly. Hate to see them go.
I think every big city should have these monorail systems. They work great and cost less than regular train service.
