Pearl Jam Twenty chronicles the years leading up to the band's formation, the chaos that ensued soon-after their rise to megastardom, their step back from centre stage, and the creation of a trusted circle that would surround them—giving way to a work culture that would sustain them. Told in big themes and bold colours with blistering sound, the film is carved from over 1,200 hours of rarely-seen and never-before seen footage spanning the band's career. Pearl Jam Twenty is the definitive portrait of Pearl Jam: part concert film, part intimate insider-hang, part testimonial to the power of music and uncompromising artists.

Directed by Cameron Crowe

  • Best band of our lifetime!

  • There are the Beatles, and Led Zeppelin, Pink FLoyd....you know the classics. Pearl Jam deserves to be among them, the elite. Those who alter how we feel, live and breath music deserve to be called Rock Gods. Thank You Pearl Jam.

  • @MartinEden1984 Ha ha! Of course they aren't the greatest. Neither are Sonic Youth. There's always gonna be someone better. In the end, everything is subjective and if you don't see it that way, wouldn't exist the posibility of being greater by making less albums. I mean, Sex Pistols are great and just have one album.

  • Sonic Youth - best band of our lifetime.

  • @jorgebarraf

That's because Pearl Jam isn't the greatest... Sonic Youth is the greatest... And even then, The Velvet Underground were also better than Pearl Jam... And even then, Nirvana were better than Pearl Jam - they just didn't make as many albums.

  • If the rock and roll hall of fame (really it is a shame) doesn't put Pearl Jam on the first ballet the first year they are able to be, then they are truly idiots.

  • @TheRealCritique you're a fucking moron

  • @TheRealCritique pixies, dig

  • @TheRealCritique i disagree with your "COMPLETELY ignores Nirvana" because that would mean nirvana and kurt cobain weren't even mentioned at all in PJ20. which isn't the case.

there was actually an entire segment. plus a part of an interview with cobain
