I actually prefer this song live or acoustic, it has a more honest appeal. If that makes sense.

Then a lot off of Tom Waits Heart of Saturday Night Album, though specifically Please Call Me, Baby (there are a lot of awful covers of this song. promptly ignore them.). Tom Waits Three Sheets to the Wind In Copenhagen is also great (if you recognize it at first, its the New Zealand national anthem, ironically enough). Thats a brief list of obscure pretty music.
