Mount Clemens, Mich. (WXYZ) - About twenty youths at Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center are training rescued dogs.
A program called Teacher's Pet pairs teens with troubled pasts with dogs taken by animal control.
Amy Johnson, program director says, "They spend their time loving these dogs and getting these dogs to see humans can be good.''
the program has been at the center for about a year and a half and in that time close to 50 young people have played a role in training close to 75 dogs.
All but one of those dogs has been adopted.
