Owens Community College offers two programs (Landscape and Turfgrass Management and Golf/Turfgrass Management) that allow graduates to enjoy the freedom of working outdoors and creating and maintaining natural and man-made areas.
Through 2014, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects jobs in these fields to increase by nearly 20 percent. Landscape architects, groundskeepers, greenskeepers, landscape contractors, pesticide handlers and tree trimmers are a few of the occupations for program graduates.
