Demonstrating Drunk Driving on Midway/Nintendo's Cruisin'USA

Back in the mid-90s TV talkshow "Maury Povich" featured an episode on drunk driving. In this clip, Maury literally liquored up two guests and demonstrated drunk driving on a deluxe version of Cruisin' USA.
I thought it was silly because Cruisin didn't really have that sense of driving a real car at all! Perhaps Atari's Hard Drivin would've served the purpose abit better.

I think that is stupid, I crashed in racing games lots of times when I was solber. I do agree that drinking and driving is very dangerous. But most accidents involve a "driving stereotype" as one of the people involved.
unexperienced driver, female driver, very old driver, or Asian driver, or a combination.
Now I am not saying ALL elderly female asian drivers cause accidents in their first week on the rode.

anyone who knew how to play the game would drive faster than that. hard drivin is closer to real life physics I agree. in crusin you take every turn at full speed, and every turn is a gentle curve. it's an endless highway.

Would have been much better if they used something like Tokyo Bus Guide as games like Cruisn' USA were not made for the player to drive normal like.
