is it hard for blind and low vision people to get around?????

I think its awesome that you can be so independent even with the loss of most, or all, of your sight. To be honest you look incredibly beautiful! I wish the best for you though, I'm sure it can be tough at times.

People often think I am doing something amazing by walking or taking the train or whatever on my own. I've had people come up to me and say that I put many people to shame because they have their vision and don't put half the effort I do...

I actually refuse to have someone drive me anywhere if I know ther isa way to get there myself. I do this because if you get used to someone taking you places, then you get lazy and in some cases, can get a little scared when you have to go somewhere alone. Don't get me wrong, I sometimes get tired and lazy and a ride is great, but if I've never been there before, I tend to want to get tere on my own so I know.

I think I'd have a very difficult time getting around if I was blind. I have a terrible memory. Even being sighted, I can't find my keys half the time. Do you think blindness sort of forces you to be more organized, always leaving your shoes in the same spot, putting things away when you're done with them etc.?
